ICT questionnaire

When it comes to ICT (Information and Communications Technology, or everything to do with telephones, computers and the internet to you and me) there is a huge amount of technical language. Very often long technical phrases are compressed into acronyms – like ICT itself. Most of the parts of a telephone or computer system have a technical name. You won't usually need to know what they are – until the day comes when you need to replace, repair or install something new. Then you might be glad you took this quiz...

Technical English Vocabulary

Sometimes people sound like they’re talking a foreign language until you realise they’re just using technical language. Some professions require a large set of specialised or technical language to communicate efficiently, and English is no exception. You already know whether or not you need to know any specialised language though – ask your English teacher or check the internet for translations. It might be important for all of us to know some technical terms, however. For example, all of the following are terms used in health and safety documents. This quiz could save your life!
